7 Natural Cleansers For Fresh and Glowing Skin

Face cleansers and exfoliators are great and all but nothing beats knowing that what you’re feeding your skin is all-natural and has almost no risk of damage. There is need to keep your skin, especially the one on your face, the one everyone sees, dirt and oil-free. It is essential if you want a smooth face. But what happens when you don’t have a face wash at home? Is there something you can use instead. Turns out there is! And wouldn’t you know it, what you need is right there in your backyard and in your kitchen. Let’s see them!

1 Honey

Honey is a natural humectant. Humectants absorb excess oil but not to the point of drying up the skin. As it absorbs oil, it leaves moisture behind. It is an antioxidant and works well in soothing acne. Just massage a few drops of honey on your skin and rinse with warm water after.

2. Cucumber

Refrigerated cucumber is a very powerful exfoliator and skin soother. Cut some slices of cucumber and put in the refrigerator to cool. Then place them on your skin and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and pat dry. Or you can just decide to juice the cucumber; that works too.

3. Sugar

Turns out sugar’s benefits go beyond just sweetening your coffee. It is both an exfoliator and a cleanser. Mix some sugar in water or oil and massage on your face. Leave for some minutes and then rinse with water.

4. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has antifungal and antibacterial properties. It is also a very good exfoliator and cleanser if one can figure out how to use it for that purpose. Pour a few drops on your palms and warm it with them; then massage into your face in a circular motion. Put a warm towel on your face and hold it there for about 30 seconds and then wipe off the oil with the towel.

Milk has lactic acid that helps exfoliate skin with protein and fat which help moisturize the skin. Use whole fat milk; pour some on your palm and rub on your face. Leave for about 10-20 minutes and rinse with warm water.

7. Water Melon

Water melon is excellent for both exfoliation and skin lightening. To use as a cleanser, rub the pulp on your face and leave for 20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
