Should You or Should You Not Shave? Norms Vs Facts

I have often wondered what the big deal is about shaving. Growing up, I have witnessed the stigma placed on people who don’t shave. You can’t put on short sleeved shirt if there’s hair under your armpit. You cannot put on a bikini without feeling self-conscious because of the hair down there. You cannot safely raise your hands without getting the deathly stares. Okay, maybe not deathly. But the looks aren’t nice either. And no one is asking: is it safe to shave? Should I shave? Why should I shave? Will I die if I don’t shave? Is it so terrible that I choose not to shave?

So many self-esteems have been crushed in this controversial subject. But, I guess we can understand what the fuss is all about. Hair on the armpit or in the pubic area probably doesn’t look so good. In fact, it disgusts some people. But, should you base your decision on how people feel? Well, you shouldn’t. You should rather base your decisions on facts.

The fact is: shaving has its benefits; and so does ‘not shaving'.

There is no laid down rule when it comes to shaving. You are not going to die if you don’t shave. And you are not going to die if you do. So, the simple answer to that question up there is: shave if you want to; don’t shave if you don’t want to. It is all up to you.
Before you make your decision, understand the fact that it is perfectly normal to have hair in your pubic areas. And it is safe. Those hairs there are not just for show. They have certain functions they perform. Are you wondering what function they could possibly perform?

They protect delicate internal tissues.

They reduce the risk of getting some sexually transmitted infections.

They protect against friction that may cause injury to the skin.

They protect from bacteria and other pathogens.

People shave for different reasons

To please sexual partner
.
To follow the norms.

To feel less dirty. And may I say that having pubic hair doesn’t make you dirty.

That’s the way they want it.

For increased sensation during sex.

Problems associated with shaving includes:

Injuries from shaving tools.

Infections.

STIs

Abscesses

The hair on your pubic areas is no different from the hair on your head. Having pubic hair doesn’t make you dirty. It is true that dirt and bacteria can get trapped in the hairs easily. If you are dirty hygienically, your pubic hair will be dirty as will the hair on your head. But if you practice proper hygiene, your hairs will be clean.

Whether or not you shave is totally up to you. If you do shave, shave properly. Use the right tools, don’t share shaving stick. You can get your personal shaving equipment at our store “here”.

And, if you decide to leave the hairs alone, practice proper hygiene. If you’re clean, they will be too.
